Since 1981, Golden Oven in Mapusa has been whipping up delicious Goan local snacks and cakes, and it is absolutely the most underrated cafe in Mapusa, considering the pricing they offer! They’ve very recently introduced a fresh menu boasting a variety of sandwiches, pastas, salads, and more, all at super affordable rates! And here’s the kicker - they’ve even included gelato in their offerings! I'd highly recommend trying their Classic Brownie with Ice cream, Chicken Tikka Sandwich, and Chicken Cheese Pasta, which I feel for 140/- is super yum and cheesy. Also, don’t forget to speak to “Chef Malcolm” for additional recommendations if you’re looking for something specific; he’ll whip it up for you. Most items fall within the range of 25 to 190 at maximum, making it perfect for college students or anyone seeking extremely budget-friendly meals. The flavor and portion sizes for the price are quite decent. ✅
Love your Mini Breakfast… the omelette is prepared well and plated nicely also and the meal is reasonably priced… I ate the breakfast twice and would have loved to come more often… however, even thought the place is renovated, the seats are not comfortable and the lighting is poor (especially with the bright glare from the outside), and besides (it may be just my experience) the staff don’t seem to enjoy serving and appear cold and unwelcoming… THIS PLACE HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL but seems to be neglected… hope you’ll will improve your service!
My absolute favourite places to have my coffee and start the day been doing this practically everyday for the last year or so with multiple visits in the day sometimes , Super ambience powerful Acs , excellent snacks and deserts. Super friendly and efficient staff . Kudos to Priscilla , Sonia and Salima . An appeal to keep open on Sundays too
